Man Cave Addition

A good shop needs heat so it was time to install the wood stove.

Seems like a huge chimney for a small wood stove.

Cutting the hole through the ceiling and roof was the tricky part.

Sorting parts and attempting installation prior to reading through the manual. With so many additional pages of warnings and safety instructions in manuals these days, I find I loose concentration and give up on the instructions before I ever find the pages where they actually tell how to do a correct installation. I think it would make much more sense to give clear assembly instructions on the very first page and then follow up with all the warnings and remote hazards that could possibly somehow by chance alter the operation of the equipment.

After spending an afternoon at the cabin with Ken cutting beetle kill pine, he sent me home with a truckload of firewood for the winter. Naturally, I had to first build an appropriate cedar shed to store the wood out of the elements.

Delphi patiently waits at the back gate and watches me work.

I discovered just enough good pieces of scrap plywood to fashion a dog house.

Delphi arrived as an 8 pound puppy and now she is at 21 pounds! And does she have energy.

Delphi at 3 months and growing.
